Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver - Fairfax We are looking for a responsible, courteous, and patient-centered Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver to join our growing team. Our team plays a crucial role in supporting recovery, reducing readmissions, and making medical care more accessible. Position Summary We provide seamless, compassionate care to patients transitioning from healthcare facilities to the comfort of their own homes. Our Non-Emergency Medical Transport Drivers are the first and last point of contact for many patients—and their kindness and professionalism make all the difference. Key Responsibilities Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher between homes, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient centers. Operate company vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and traffic laws. Assist patients in and out of vehicles with care and dignity, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked vehicle. Complete daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns. Accurately complete trip documentation and patient transport logs. Follow established protocols for infection control, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and customer service standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in healthcare transportation, patient care, or customer service preferred. Ability to lift, push, and maneuver patients and equipment safely (must meet physical requirements). Must be able to lift 125 lbs. individually & 250 lbs. assisted. Compassionate attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Working Conditions Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Frequent lifting, bending, and physical activity. Driving in all weather and traffic conditions. Regular interaction with elderly, disabled, or medically fragile individuals.
